4 Understanding Values of Loyality Integrity|||Had it not been for Sikhs my name today would have been Mohammed, Abdul, Yusuf or some other kebab stinking name. I salute all the Sikhs that have served, are serving and will serve Bharat and Dharma. Unlike some other communities...mention no names *cough* *cough* who are traditional invaders of the land, Sikhs have always been traditional defenders of the land.|||Nobody "prefers" them as such. Individuals devoted to their country volunteer to join armed forces like any good citizen should and many courageous Sikh Individuals join the armed forces like many Hindus or Atheists for that matter. Courage does not come from Sikhism alone.





A religion can only be rated on it's theology and as a theology i appreciate Dharmic religions as opposed to the Abrahamic desert claptrap.





Would you call Manmohan Singh courageous. He happens to be a Sikh but a spineless individual. Courage is an individual's quality. It does not come from any religion or community.





The Sikhs who targetted the minority Hindus in Punjab were cowards and the Congress goons who targetted minority Sikhs in Delhi after Indira Gandhi's assasination were cowards too.





I don't mean it as a disrespect to Sikhism but this false bravado does nobody good. The martial races theory which is discredited but still finds many takers in the Sikh community was a ploy by the British to divide Indians.





Sikhs carry arms but many are today seen criticizing RSS for doing the same. Hypocrisy serves nobody.





Strength comes from unity and as a community definitely Sikhs are more united than Hindus.|||All the four,Sikh Maharaja Ranjit Singh was the only ruler till date who have captured Tribal area of afghanistan.His army spent many years fighting the Afghan Muslims, driving them out of the Punjab. He also captured Pashtun territory including Peshawar (now referred to as North West Frontier Province and the Tribal Areas)............





This was the first time that Peshawari Pashtuns were ruled by Punjabis. He captured the province of Multan which encompassed the southern parts of Punjab, Peshawar (1818), Jammu and Kashmir (1819). Thus Ranjit Singh put an end to more than a thousand years of Muslim rule. He also conquered the hill states north of Anandpur Sahib, the largest of which was Kangra.........





Hari singh nalwa the most celbrated warrior and commander in chief of his army. Just by recalling his name only in front of pashtuns Muslims they start getting wet in there pants........

the reason is that the sikhs are a community known for their courage...i have met many sikhs in my life..i work with some of them...and throughout my existence i have not seen even one sikh who is scared..who thinks twice about nationalism...the sikhs are the pride of india...the jewel in our motherlands crown...its like they are born with it..their courage inspires me..sikh community is perhaps the only community in india to be ravaged by violence on so many occasions...and it says something when you see...that despite all the violence against them...they survived...today the sikhs are a community not weakened but strengthened by war.


it is said that in punjab every mother sends atleast one of her sons to the army....now that is patriotism i am jealous of..that is patriotism i wish we had in karnataka...that is patriotism which makes one proud to be an indian
