How long would an all out war between North & South Korea last for? And would other nations become involved?

Of course, the USA would be involved. But would other nations be involved?





And how long would such a conflict last for?|||japan would jump in on the side of the US and russia would jump in for NK. - it would be really ugly, but i honeslty believe we would crush them, quickly.|||Nations like Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela will be on the North's side.





Nations like Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Japan will be on the US's side.





The conflict will last for years. North Korea has a 1.1 million army. Their total population is 23 million.





The north also have nukes, but they won't use them unless they want nukes to be used on themselves.|||that's a good question that has been well studied for about 50 years. The DPRK has a lot of saber to rattle however, they don't have food for an extended conflict. We have roughly 25,000 troops and advanced weapons. DPRK still uses surplus USSR and Chinese stuff so I don't think the actual armed conflict would last very long as we would quickly gain air superiority. After that it depends on the politics of the situation. Harry Truman didn't want to go nuclear and I expect the DPRK wouldn't be able to. So, maybe a month of real conflict and years of "police action"...Venuzela, Cuba wouldn't count as they're just jealous. China does have a dog in this fight. However, DPRK is their dog and would get all those refugees. China wouldn't get into waves of cannon fodder because they want to make money. The question is how would this conflict start in the first place...highly unlikely as it is far better to let the bitter weather and failing crops kill the enemy slowly.
