What would happen if a military corporation emerged to protect all nations who become shareholders?

Then you'll probably have a federation. If it is a federation of other federations, probably we would call it: "confederation".

Add:

If your preoccupation comes about social effects concerning peace, security and the like I think that if the process of emergence of a confederation is genuine and solidly made, it can increase a lot peace, security and well-being potential.

Being under a single authority doesn't by itself guarantee internal peace and social order. Civil war happens and sometimes it can be as cruel and acute as international wars.|||what a symbiotic shareholding.we would breed a subhuman culture.|||sshhhhhh, we don't want to give Haliburton any ideas.|||Mutual fund managers would become power brokers and diplomats. Stay groovy GG!|||It would be ineffective because its resources would be too spread out. The price the shareholders pay would not be enough to be able to fund and organize military endeavors across so many countries. Also, it might also end up in a situation where it would seemingly have to battle itself (two of its shareholder countries attack each other).
