Were all the Chinese dynasties de facto different nations from each other?

Each Chinese dynasty had its own regime, own "name" of the regime, own territory and even own dominant ethnic group, that are different from the other dynasties. Unlike England (or France), that shared the same name of the country through different kings or queens. Therefore, can we consider the regimes that had occupied the land of today's China are not all the same one nation, China; but are in fact many different nations whose names are Tang, Yuan, Ming, Qing, and etc.|||The chinese themselves feel that the rulers might change but culturally as a people they are still the same nation.

So they see the big communist revolution as just another change of leadership - "it's still the same china"

You could look at it the other way and say it is a new place each time, but i like this patient view of things that they have.|||It's true that the dynasties had their own dominant ethnic group. Often it was the same group from one dynasty to the next, and the Chinese share a common written language, a common artistic tradition, a common culture, and so on. When really different people like the Mongols conquered China, they were Sinicized (i.e. assimilated) after a couple of hundred years. And it is true that the Manchus kept themselves apart.

However, the Chinese would claim that they have always been one people, despite all the regional differences.

The history of China is more than a little interesting.
