Should all nations have a vote on the UN Security Council?

Its good that Obama guarateed India a vote. They are a peaceful nation and would bring a rational vote.

But what is all countries had a vote? This way the days of Cowboy politics would end. The big nations would have to work with the 3rd world country. This would lead to a more peaceful world.|||Not, that would make the UN too chaotic to have any real power, and hold back movement to World Government that we need to achieve Peace. One vote per continent except 2 for Asia:

China

India

EU

African Union

Brazil

US

should have permanent status and veto power now.|||All countries have a vote in the United Nations, and there are more than the five permanent members to the Security Council. It is just that only the five permanent members are the only nations that have veto power.

I was unaware that President Obama had the power to grant a permanent seat on the security council. Without such power, I doubt he can guarantee anything. Evidently, international law is not taught at your college.|||go back to the books Spud...

the Sec Council is for

the BIG BOYS.

btw. India has the best military in that theatre..|||we need a vote on the UN...they need to find some other country to fleece...they need to find a building in some other country...they need to be thrown out...|||I wish the US would leave the UN and not have a vote at all.|||No.
