That would be interesting angle to tack this topic. Of course, it could be any universal threat. A deadly virus, a project meteor impact.
The virus angle is worth exploring too, the influenza epidemic of 1918 probably reduced the length of World War I.|||All Nations need to educate its people to learn to tolarate their differences and coexist.

as an amateur astronomer i have to say that maybe space is the answer. maybe we can leave all the fighters on earth and we will go into space ...by the way im not a trekkie. ...I dont know babes, is there any way at all that will stop us all from going down the path we are heading for. war, drugs, oil, politics, religion, money, cancer, aids, not exactly in that order. dont you think that if it was that simple to change the world and the way people, that someone out there would have done it by now. maybe im just been negitive but is this an answerably question?|||education, cultural understanding and communication ares key elements, also listening and comprehension are dually important
